Calculating Engine Percent Power

My Pilot Operating Handbook contains this handy Percent Power chart, which related engine rpm, fuel consumption, true airspeed, and Density Altitude. It makes flight planning pretty simple, and is quite handy.
 Several people wrote me and asked how I determined those values. A combination of flight testing and theory was used to generate the values. I've included a brief description of the methodology I used in the files below. |
