March 14, 2005: The Kit Arrives!

Sonex emailed me about a week before the kit arrived. They said it was scheduled for delivery 6 days later via Yellow Freight. It actually arrived a day early! The kit comes packaged as a bunch of cardboard boxes shrink-wrapped on top a large wood pallet. When it arrived, the driver and I cut the shrink-wrap and carried the boxes into the garage. The heaviest part was the pallet, but it was still no problem for the two of us.

After that, I wasted no time in getting to work. By the end of the day, most of the boxes were unpacked and the pallet was disassembled to make my workbench.
